This project involved a small infill extension to expand and modernise the kitchen area of an existing home. Located within the property’s existing boundaries, the extension seamlessly fills the gap between adjacent walls to create a more spacious and functional kitchen environment. The design maximises the available footprint while maintaining the integrity of the home’s overall layout and aesthetic.
The primary goal of the extension was to enhance the kitchen’s usability, offering ample space for cooking, dining, and entertaining. With the added area, the kitchen features a more open-plan layout, including additional cabinetry, countertop space, and improved circulation. The extension has allowed for the incorporation of modern appliances and smart storage solutions, significantly improving the kitchen’s efficiency.
To ensure the extension blended naturally with the existing structure, the design used complementary materials and finishes that reflect the home’s original style. Large windows or glazed doors will be incorporated to invite natural light, providing a bright, airy atmosphere. The overall result will be a beautifully functional space that enhances daily living and adds long-term value to the property.
